In the corridors and salons of the Bolivar Convention Center experience of many years of working with EcoMaterials came together with the thirst of a younger generations of students and researchers.

An intelligent strategy of the organizers of this III Conference achieved a good balance between those who have accumulated much knowledge through having dedicated almost their entire lives to work with EcoMaterials, and those thirsty sponges, that mixed with them, young people desirous of apprehending and learning, not to imitate to the letter, but rather to be inspired in their own work and in their intention; or simply to admire and venerate silently or in the lively dialogues that occurred in all the corners throughout the Conference.

Thus, among the first, we had the pleasure of knowing scientists of international renown such as Bruce King of the EcoBuilders Network, Roland Stultz of the 2000 Watt Society program at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH, Gernot Minke of the University of Kassel, who were open to share their investigations in themes related to ecology, the sustainable habitat and teaching. The terrain of youth was also fertilized  by other investigators closer to the daily work of EcoMaterials and the EcoSouth Network, such as Kurt Rhyner, Kathryn Pozak, Fernando Martirena, Gilberto Quevedo, Orlando Espinosa, who have made of MCR and CP 40 (each contributing their knowledge and experiences) the best option for those with few options when they want to build their houses or repair damages caused by natural disasters. Simone Swan, as well, perhaps without great scientific endorsement, but with great experience and engagement, Simone Swan, perhaps the eldest of the participants, evoked the days with Hassan Fathy, the Egyptian architect, engineer and environmentalist, who left his imprint in the field of building houses of adobe along the Nile, and who, inspired her to develop her own work in Mexico.

This is the spirit of the Network and of these conferences that offer space for analysis and interchange of experience among renowned investigators and those who are taking their first steps in the theme of EcoMaterials, so that technologies such as adobe, rammed earth, pozzolanic cement continue.
