The principal purpose was to demonstrate to the municipalities of
the state of Mochoacán the different alternatives that can be utilized
in order to take optimal advantage of local resources, especially prime
material, thereby reducing production costs and resolving the housing
needs of a greater number of families with low incomes. At the same
time, the project would have a greater social impact, not only with
regard to improvement of housing, but also through the resulting
generation of employment in the EcoMaterials production
facilities.
Technical people connected with the project received capacitation.
In the case of engineers and architects this involved theory as well as
practice, and exposure to scientific-technical information related to
each of the technologies.
At the Morelia Fair Grounds an Integrated Production Unit was installed to serve as a base of capacitation and training of people related to production. A model was built to demonstrate the possibilities of application and quality of the materials produced. |
